A friend from work, we'll call her Gina, gave me two really cool potholders that she made yesterday. It has inspired me to make some of my own with old jeans. I cut the legs off the jeans in about 8 or 9 inch sections, hemmed up all around and then sewed the ends together. I cut the back pockets out of the jeans and sewed them onto the pot holder. The next one I make, I need to lower the pocket so I can get a better grip on it when my hand is in the pocket. I'm also wanting to get some grommits and add one to the top corner of each so it can be hung by it. My sister Lisa mentioned adding a belt since it's made from a pair of jeans, and I was thinking about using a cat collar since it's really little and looks somewhat like a belt. That would be pretty cute. I think I'm thinking way too much about this.
I took the potholder to work and everyone liked it. I'm going to make some for a few people at work. The first good one that I make is going to go to Gina. I'm also adding a picture of my new summer shorts! They are great!! If you want a pair, definitely let me know!!
I'm thankful that the roof only leaks in our room and not in Nathan's room.
