extended weekend blog.

I'm getting super bad about blogging. I'm missing way too many days and then once I think about blogging, it's been so long since I last blogged that I forget everything that happened. Oh well. We leave for WA state on Wed and I can guarantee that I won't be blogging everyday when there. (you already knew that tho!!)

Thursday I did water aerobics at the Y from 9-10am, had Parents as Teachers meeting at 11am, took Nate to Monroe afterwards, and then made it to work at 2 o'clock and 20 seconds. Roseanne at the front desk asked if I was working for someone cause I was there so early. She checks the schedule and I wasn't supposed to be there til 4 o'clock. Oy.... I picked up hours from 2-4 as I wasn't about to go home. Joe left to go to the farm at 9am-ish and worked til about 3 or 4pm-ish. They stayed for dinner at mom's until Nate got woken up from him nap and screamed for 30 minutes, or so I'm told.

Friday I skipped water aerobics as we went to Monroe with Joe. He worked on the farm again for about 3 1/2 hours. I noticed when I woke up that I had started my period. Ugh.. I haven't had a period in over 2 years. It sucks. As we were about to leave the house, Joe & I had a HUGE fight. We did a u-turn in the gas station parking lot and pulled the car over on the street next to the station. (we made it in front of the funeral home and that's as far as we got.) Joe walked home, got the keys to my car (we had his), and tried to drive off. I told him we're not taking 2 cars to MC. We ended up taking his car. I sewed the letters for 2 towels but only got 1 towel sewed. We stayed in Monroe until about 5:45pm-ish. Once we got home Joe went to Ultreya, a Catholic meeting. I worked on the other towel, didn't like the "e" on it, took it off, realized the thread I needed was in Monroe, sent Joe to get it at 11pm, finally finished the towel at about 12:30am. Whew.... went to bed. Then my cousin texted me and asked if he could sleep on our couch cause his ride left him in Hannibal.

Saturday we went to Quincy to take Sarah's mortgage money to the bank. After that we went to the mall. I had to see the eye people (I got shorted 1 left lens. They didn't have any left in stock there so she gave me 2 right. I'm cool with that.) I met Joe, Nate, & Josh (cousin) at Krieger's. A balloon guy was there and made Nate a really cool fishing pole & fish out of balloons. He loved it and played with it all day!! After lunch we went to the Resevoir Park. We love that park! We met a friend, her 2 girls, and 2 neighbor girls. I made towels for her 2 girls and they loved them! I told her $15 each but she gave me $20 each. I told her she didn't have to do that but she pretty much insisted. I'm cool with that! I just hope they really like them and get some good use out of them! (And maybe they know others that will want me to make them some!) After the park we stopped at Sam's for some samples and ice cream. A couple hours after we got home, we went to Ford & Charlene's for dinner. It was very good food & company. One day we'll learn to BBQ and invite them over. Maybe we'll have a deck by then!

Sunday morning we went to church. We sat in the back like always. Nate wasn't too bad to begin with but then he just wanted to run around everywhere. We had actually planned on sitting in the regular congregation but we didn't notice any seats available. Shortly after we got there, Joe got asked to help with the offertory. He had never helped with that before but he was happy to help. After mass I made a semi-big breakfast. Over easy eggs, home made hashbrowns, toast, & orange juice. Nathan ate everything! He was a hungry boy. We decided to get out for a bit and took a few laptops over to Bob's to have him look at them. They're all my sisters laptops or her kids. When we got there Bob said that mom & dad were on their way. We owed them $1000 for the roof so Joe got the money out and gave it to dad. Of course it was really nice having that money in our bank account, but that's one payback that we have already paid off! It feels good!! We were going to take Mom & Dad out to eat for Father's Day since we won't be here, but they had just eaten so we're taking them out Tuesday night. We ran some errands and then went to Gran Rio. After that we drove around for a bit and then went back home. I sewed the cover for Bob's bike and Joe did most of the dishes. I finished up the last little bit after I colored with Nate.

Monday: I went back to water aerobics but only stayed for 30 minutes. We are down to 1 car for right now and Nate had speech therapy at 10am. I got home and changed and then headed out the door to therapy. Nate didn't want to say anything today. He was on the floor and under the seats most of the time. I came home and wanted to take a short nap but then my alarm went off and I realized that I had a 1pm appt to get more antidepressents. We went to Wal-Mart to get the prescription filled and then came home. I was finally able to nap for an hour or so. I got up just in time to get to work at 4pm. It was boring but that's cool. One of the bosses gave me tomorrow off and I'm so thankful. We have so much to do to get ready to go to WA state on Wednesday. After work I came home and Nate was already in bed!!! Bob & Regina stopped by to get the bike cover. I've been playing Farkle on Facebook way too much tonight.

I really need to get to bed so I can start a very busy day tomorrow (actually today). I hope we get everything done that needs to be done. I will promise that I won't post every day when I'm in WA. If/when I do post, they won't be nearly this long and detailed. I should also be adding pictures but I'm not going to. Sorry. I'm kinda getting bored with trying to blog everyday. Hence why I'm not blogging but only a couple times a week.

I'm thankful for my family. I really do love and support everything Joe does and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. I'm so looking forward to visiting with family in WA & I'm excited about our early Father's Day dinner with my parents tomorrow!! I love you all!!!

Weekend at the Lake!!

I got up Friday and went to the gym. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill at about 3.4 - 3.8 speed but I don't remember the incline. Later that day we decided to go to Lake of the Ozarks with my sister and her boys to stay with another sister at their condo. Joe was working on the farm so we left with Laura & the boys at about 1pm. We got there and soon went shopping. Joe worked until almost 8pm, got lost getting back to mom & dad's (regular road was closed for repairs, had to detour to who knows where), and then started his drive the Lake. Oh and what a drive it was!!! He got so very lost and we kept trying to help him get on the right track but he kept driving and kept getting more lost. At one point he asked me "Am I supposed to be on a dirt road?" Umm... NO!!! Later on in regards to getting lost he said "Well I'll worry about that later!!!" Oy va!! He finally made it to the Lake just after midnight. The first thing he did was pee and then he got some food. He REFUSED to stop for directions multiple times. BOYS!!!!!

Saturday Joe & Joe went to the boat store. Later on most of us did a lot of shopping and I got a really cool pair of shoes. They are water shoes and very comfortable. We went swimming later on and Nate loved it! He didn't like it too much when we went to the deep end tho. I don't really know what else we did early on but Lisa & her Joe went on a date and that's when we went swimming. Later on instead of shopping with Laura again, Joe & I went on a date. We went to Culver's for dinner and ice cream. We sat on the patio and just sat there and watched the cars go by. It was so nice to get away even just an hour.

Sunday we got up early and got all excited to get on the boat. Well the boat had problems so my brother-in-law Joe went to the boat store and spent a lot of the morning working on the boat. I downloaded a bunch of songs to put on Laura's new MP3 Player. The boat took longer to fix than expected to fix so we went to play putt putt gold instead. Afterwards we went to Culver's for lunch. We FINALLY got to go on the boat!! Towards the end of the boat ride and everyone getting to go tubing, Joe got his turn. He had never been tubing before and he LOVED it!! He did flip a couple times but he still loved it. After the 2nd flip, he was done and it was then my turn. I didn't flip it, which was very good because I forgot to wear a life jacket. After the boat, Laura & her boys left and about an hour later we left. Joe drove home so he could get a better feel for the roads. He did just fine. Once we got to Monroe he made me finish driving.

Today I got up early and went to water aerobics at the Y. It was from 9am - 10am. It went over pretty good and I hope to make it to the class every day, Monday - Friday. Once I got home, I rested and had an egg sandwich and then I started mowing both our yard and the rental yard. At 10am, Joe took Nate to Speech Therapy. He said he did ok but I'm not sure. I was trying to get some sewing done but forgot that all my thread and bobbins are in Monroe. Ugh... Just before I left for work, Joe noticed a tick on Nate's back. We tried to get it removed but couldn't so we took him to the walk-in clinic to get it removed. They got the tick out and then Nate went to Monroe for the evening. He's spending the night there so we get a night alone!!!

We went to Sonic and got some late night foods and I also got a Lime Limeaid!! Very good!!

I'm thankful for my life!!

Nate's sickness.

So my blogs have been very scarce lately.

Nate has been sick (thank God he was better by the weekend!) with an ear infection. We had him at the ER last Monday and they said to go in for a follow-up on Wed or Thursday. We got him in Thursday morning with Dr. Bubolz (after 35 minutes on the treadmill with speeds between 3.4 - 3.8 & incline of between 2.0 - 4.0). If you know him and like him, I'm sorry, but we do NOT like him! He never seems to be interested in what we tell him is going on with Nathan and he always has something bad to say about the ER. I may not like taking him to the ER because we're usually there for awhile, but I don't talk smack about them. I think that's very unethical for a Dr. to be saying bad things about other Dr's. He tell us that Nate's ears look great and it was "probably not even an ear infection. You know those guys over there, always diagnosing & treating everything with an antibiotic." I think that's kind of rude. I told him "Well we have Medicaid for Nate so no matter where we are having him seen, it doesn't cost us anything."

Oh well, Nate is much better now (he hasn't thrown up since Friday but still had diarrhea til Saturday) and that's all we're worried about. Doc said to give him food & about an ounce of a sugary liquid (for the carbs) ever 15 minutes or so. We did that and he's good now. Nate prolly enjoyed it because Joe kept giving him Kool-Aid and suckers!!

Memorial Day.

I know I've been slacking.. and more than just with my blog. I didn't go to the YMCA at all last week. I haven't been sewing as much either (I did mend a couple things but nothing like I usually do).

We've been busy on the rental house. I worked for a few hours on the back porch sorting threw all the craft stuff. There was a whole lot of nasty trash but there was also a lot of good stuff to put in the yard sale. There was lots of poo but I had the radio on and ignored what I was sifting thru. I would have puked otherwise. Work on Friday sucked but at least I got an extra 5 hours in.

I don't remember what we did on Saturday. I got some mending done but not sure what else was done. Joe just reminded me that we went to Twain on Main that afternoon. We took a walk later on in the evening and ended up at Cassano's for dinner close to 9pm. Nate wasn't in the best mood so we didn't finish dinner there. We went down easy so Joe & I finished eating.

Sunday after church at Presbyterian we went for a walk again. We left the car in the lot an went to Mike's shop to help Lisa, Joe, Luke, & Dad unload the UHaul. After that we loaded the stroller in Mike's truck and all of us plus Mike (minus Dad) went to lunch Rumor Has It. It was very good!! We walked around Twain on Main a little more and then walked 6 blocks to get the car at church. Then off to Monroe for the rest of the day. It was a gorgeous day and we had so much fun played in the sprinkler at Grandma's & Grandpa's. We had an awesome day until after Nate went to bed. He was sleeping for half hour or so and then he started throwing up in his bed. Joe took a quick shower with Nate to clean him off. He got a fresh diaper and was back in bed after falling back to sleep in our bed.

Happy Memorial Day!! Thank you to all the military people who have served/are serving this country. Shortly after 11am-ish we left the house to go to Monroe. We made it around the block before Nate started throwing up. We made a U turn back home to get some clean clothes. He thought it best to hand the rest of his banana to Daddy. We stopped at Walgreen's to get more meds & some Pedialite. Just after 1/2 way to Monroe, Nate throws up again. What fun!! Also on the way there, I called and got a Landing pass for me. Nate gets in free and Joe won't go enough times to justify getting a pass. Nate was very fussy & whiny all day. We finally left about 7:45pm-ish and went straight to the ER. There for 1 1/2 hours and Nate has a double ear infection. Soon as we got home we went to sleep. Didn't cry or fuss or whine or anything. I was very happy! Our internet on the laptop sucks so I'm gonna head outta here.

I'm thankful for the staff at the ER for making Nate feel better (even tho he didn't like the shots!)

What a day.

I'm trying to get back in the swing of blogging every night. We'll see how I do. Nate was warm when I first held him this morning. Laura then called to tell me that Logan now has strep throat. It started with him having a fever. Well we didn't measure his temperature, mainly because I never remember too. He took a shower fine without screaming but noticed he didn't eat much breakfast. He wanted juice all day!

We worked on the rental house for a little bit. (When I say "we", I mean Joe worked on it while Nate & I looked around.) Joe pulled up most of the carpet in the house and now the nasty smell is coming back. It's so gross. Nate & I took a break to go to Speech Therapy & he did so good today! He said "open!!!" It took him a couple times but he got it!! Later on in the day he said "Juice please" and "please mom." Now of course the words didn't come out clear like that but I knew exactly what he said!! It's awesome!!!

After therapy we came back and Dad put Nate on the riding mower with him. Nate usually loves it but not so much today. He cried and got a sad puppy face so I had to get him off. We came home and made lunch (turns out we just made strawberry shortcakes but Nate didn't eat anything) and then Laura and the boys stopped by. Her & I went to the rental house to see what crafty stuff will be worth saving to sell in a big yard sale. There's so much stuff left in that house and we're just gonna sell as much as we can and then get rid of the rest! If you are or know someone that wants to do crafty things, come to our yard sale in the summer!!!

Once she left I made pork burgers for lunch. I had all the good stuff to add to it: cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard. It was very good!!! Nate had a tiny burger but didn't eat it. Whoops, it was good too!!! I did get a little bit of sewing in today. I mended 2 pair of jeans. It's not much but it was nice to be at the machine. And I didn't break any needles either!!

Work was pretty boring; slow but that's aiight. While at work, I found that Nate threw up. Poor little guy. Charlene & I left early as it was super slow. I dropped her off and home and then up the hill I went to come home. Or so I thought. I got almost to the top and the car won't go anymore. I push the gas and it doesn't do anything. I coasted down the hill while calling Ford. I got to the very bottom and he takes over the wheel. He got it going on the 2nd try. Up the hill and around the block he goes.

I get in the car again and start up the hill. Same thing but this time I stop at the top of the hill and call him. He & Brian come to my rescue. Ford gets in the car and goes the rest of the way up the hill and around the block and parks it in his driveway. I go with Brian in the truck back to the house. We all go inside and I get dinner. Brat, mac n cheese, and salad (very good by the way.) Ford went to check my car and then came back upstairs and told me that I could either try to make it home and leave my car stranded wherever it stopped, or I could just get a ride from him and leave my car in the driveway. I chose option B and made it home ok.

Joe got a brat when I got home. I've been blogging and chatting with my peeps (as Joe calls them). Now he wants strawberry shortcake so I better end this.

I'm thankful for Ford, Brian, & Charlene for helping me out with my car situation. Thanks guys!!

oyyy...

Why do I never want to blog anymore? I get home from work and come up to bed but Facebook takes up much of my time. Oy...

Laura brought the boys over this morning around 9am-ish. We had breakfast, played on the porch, fed the birds, played in the backyard, tried to nap in the backyard, played more on the front porch, and then played inside for a bit. We had strawberry shortcake and drank root beer. Logan also called my sister Lisa and pranked her a couple times. It was very harmless and he loved it. Lisa also got a kick out of it! Laura picked up the boys and then headed home.

Shortly after the boys got there, Joe left to go help on the farm. He also got some sunscreen from Dollar General and dropped off strawberries at Ian's. After the boys left Nate & I had lunch. Well I had lunch and Nate got up and played. We took a short walk and he loved it! Ford wanted me to take Charlene to work by 4. I took Nate to Monroe so they could watch him until Joe got back from the farm. While there, Charlene told me on Facebook (big shocker that I was on there!!!) that I didn't need to take her to work. Cool, no problem.

Joe got back to Mom's about 4pm-ish and I left there at about 4:20pm-ish. I had to get my stuff from home and then head to work. Work was super boring and the computers were super slow. Joe & Nate walked to the park in Monroe and then came home at about 9:15pm-ish. Here I am, been off work since 10pm and just now writing my blog. Damn Facebook.

I'm thankful for Nathan who keeps me going everyday!!

Still slacking.

I know I've been really bad about blogging lately. I get so super tired at night that I usually fall asleep at the computer. My laptop also makes a lot of very loud noises and I'm really not liking it much these days. Oh well.

We spent most of the weekend in Monroe City. We came home every night but went back. My sister Lisa and her family are moving back to Monroe soon and have been looking for a place to rent. They're pretty sure they've found a place but we'll see. It was a pretty good weekend. Friday Joe worked on the farm and got a check!! WAHOO!!! We went to the food pantry and got lots of stuff. It rained like crazy while we were there. We had Nate with us but Joe took him back to Mom & Dad's and then came back. He was being bad; well just being 2. Since we didn't make it to the Y, Sarah & I walked/jogged 1.3 miles. Saturday we worked around the house for a little bit and then off to Monroe for the day/evening again. Again we got home late and then to bed later. Sunday at church Nate was just horrible. We were in the cry room in the back and he just screamed and wanted to run everywhere! Once he got out of the cry room and then made his way out to the load/unload area. Luckily there were no cars going thru there. Don't worry, Joe was about 2 feet behind him. I was ready to leave church early but we didn't. Shortly after we got in the car he fell asleep. We drove around for a little bit and then decided to head to Monroe again. Laura was making a big breakfast for everyone so we stopped at C&R to get some bacon, milk, & bread. We all just hung out for awhile. I finally got Mom's scanner to work and then she made a roast dinner. Joe was a little upset about something so he left and went for a walk. A little bit later Nate & I left took off on a walk to join Joe. We ended up going to the park. Nate LOVED it!!

Finally on Monday's events. Mom called and said they were coming down and had Beau with them. Beau is my 4 1/2 year old nephew for those that don't know. We went to the rental house and did a little bit of work and got to look in the attic. It's all open and clean (needs flooring and a way up) but it could be a bedroom. It more than likely won't get turned into one, but it could be used for storage. When it was time for Speech Therapy I took Beau along with me & Nate. Beau had no trouble talking but Nate wanted nothing to do with it. Oh well, we try. Work was pretty boring. The computers were going super slow and keep clocking. Fine by me if they wanna pay me to sit while I have to reboot the computer 4 or 5 times a night. Once I got home I made some awesome sundaes!! Strawberry & banana chunks in the bottom of a tall dessert glass. I then layered neapalitin ice cream, more banana & strawberry chunks and topped with whipped topping and more chunks! Next time I'll add sprinkes! I'm super tired so I'm heading to bed!! Good night!!!

I'm thankful to have a job!! (I don't remember writing that.) I'm thankful that Lexus was able to babysit for us!

I'm a slacker.

So I know that I've been a slacker this week. Tuesday I didn't blog because Ford gave me permission not to blog. So instead of blogging that night, I folded 3 1/2 baskets of laundry and mated up lots of white socks. We finally have clean clothes in the drawers. I know, it's pathetic. Last night I came home after work and noticed a huge puddle of water in the middle of our bed. Yup, another leak! And earlier in the day I had washed & dryed the sheets and blanket and made the bed all nice and pretty. I pulled all the sheets back to dry and put the beach towel blanket over the wet mattress. We slept on the mattress and covered up with a larger towel. It sucked. That's why I didn't blog last night.

\\

Here's today; no reason not to blog. Joe got up about 8am-ish and had a meeting with Fr. Mike about Communion. No idea what they actually talked about for an hour but oh well. Nate & I had breakfast on the porch while reading the mail. Ruso even got a little bit of breakfast as Nate spilled some of his cereal on the porch floor. Joe came home to change while I made him some lunch. He went to a farm to do some work. When he was gone we went to the YMCA. Nate was pretty good about being leftt the nursery there. It was probably just because right as we walked in, they had snack!! I did my mile all by myself! I think it took a couple extra minutes but not much more. Joe wasn't there to push me to go a bit faster. After the gym we came home.

Dad was working in the rental yard with all the tree parts that were dissected the other day. Dad, Joe, Bob, & Mike cut down a bunch of the trees in the yard as they were very near to the foundations to the house and the garage. Nate & I went down to help Dad. Nate walked around and kept trying to get in the street while I helped move all the tree parts from the side/middle yard to the very back of the yard. It was a pain in the tush. Nate really wanted to help saw some of the branches so he started dragging around Dad's big red saw. It's bigger than Nate. He was pulling it around and tripped over it. He now has a big scrape right above his eye brow. He cried for about 30 seconds and that was it. He's good now.

Dad left just before 2pm. Just before 3pm I got to babyskype Natalie. You're prolly wondering what in the world I'm talking about! Lisa made up the term "babyskype". Lisa had to get Luke from school but didn't want to wake Natalie. Natalie has been sick for a few days and was sleeping. Lisa & I were on Skype chatting back and forth and then Lisa asked if I wanted to babysit Natalie. Aiight, I guess. Lisa took her laptop back to her room and pointed the webcam right at Natalie. Don't worry, she's 9 and was just fine. I could have called Lisa if anything happened, but I was there to watch her and make sure nothing happened.

Work was pretty boring and slow tonight. I really wanted to sign the happy book but I didn't. We're broke! After work I finished off the steak that we had on Mother's Day. It was pretty tasty! Then I got the privilege of making the bed... again! I was going to call the employee line to maybe order a camera but decided to wait until tomorrow when I'm more coherent. I'm going to add some much needed pictures!

I'm thankful for Bob & Regina for helping with the roof and trees & for watching Nate!.

La de da...

I really don't want to blog. I won't go into details on this, but I'm sure it'll be better than my recent attempts. At least I'm awake and not about to fall asleep.

We had cereal for breakfast and it was yummy. I had frosted mini shredded wheat! Joe also had me a glass of juice ready but I had to drink it about 10 minutes after I ate cereal as I had brushed my teeth shortly before. Freshly cleaned teeth and oj don't go together. We ate breakfast on the porch and then fed the birds they very last of the bird seed. Since we were out of bird seed. And since we had to go to the store to get more, and since we have a membership to the YMCA and haven't used it yet, we went today. Nate went to the free nursery for kids and Joe & I walked/jogged a mile around the track. It's a start and that's what matters.

Then off to Wal-Mart and then to Speech Therapy. Nate is getting more sounds out which it awesome. The therapist is working on getting him to say "more, in, out, down, pop". Also animal sounds and mainly the first sounds of most words. Then of course since Joe & I did a mile, we had to get milkshakes after Speech. At least we did the track! I'm wanting to go every day but we'll see how life unfolds this week.

After milkshakes we came home and had lunch. Nate had ham sammich and I had turkey & roast beef sammich. We also shared an apple and an orange. We were playing on the porch for awhile and then I got sleepy. Joe came outside to watch Nate while I (tried) to snooze on the porch swing. Work was pretty slow but I made it thru the night. I got a bad headache at work and I also got a bad stomach ache and got really cold. I still have my headache but otherwise I'm ok. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I'm gonna head to bed now!! I can't post pictures tonight. There is routine maintenance with Sprint & I'm unable to upload pictures. Kinda irks me but oh well.

I'm thankful for Joe. (Even tho I wanted baked steak fries after work & he didn't make them. He's says they're unhealthy for me so late at night. He's right but I don't want to hear it.)

Happy Mother's Day!!

Joe brought me breakfast in bed. Tomato & cheese omelet, buttered toast, grapes, juice, & milk. It was so good!! We made it to church a little bit early bot not a lot... just a few minutes early. Nate went down to the nursery very soon after! After church my bladder was very full so we went home. Joe changed his diaper and I called mom. Ends up they were coming to Hannibal. We did a mad dash to get the kitchen looking somewhat decent.

Vince Graduates!!!

Today my little brother Vince graduated from UCM with a degree in Broadcasting. Nate & I were planning on going to the graduation, but there weren't enough seats in the van. That's cool tho. Nate was up at 7am-ish but we watched PBS until about 9am. We got up and showered and then headed downstairs. We let Daddy lay in bed and rest. When he came downstairs, Nate & I were ready to leave to go see Ashley. I took a suitcase & a cd/book rack thing to sell in her yardsale. The suitcase sold for $1 & the rack thing will be a toy for Shrek, her bird. Me, Nate, & Ashley made a trip to Wal-Mart. I bought $108 worth of food stuffs. We haven't been "grocery" shopping for about a month!! No, I'm not kidding. Once we finished shopping and dropping off Ashley, we went home to get ready to go to Monroe.

We put Ruso outside for the day and went to Monroe. Once we got there, Joe left to go work for an old co-worker on his farm. Nate & I went to Laura's. Soon after I was sent to the store for the fixin's for chicken nachos. They were good but I still like my nachos better. And besides, no one in their house likes sour cream or guacamole! Crazy people. I also made a banana nut muffin bread. It was pretty good. We played outside for quite some time. While Laura & Logan were playing ball and Frank was working on the Slushie cart thing (he worked on it the whole day), I took Nate & Beau for a wagon ride. We walked about a mile. About 1/2 way thru, Nate decided he didn't want to ride but wanted to pull the wagon. He was pulling rather slowly but then thought it would be more fun to run in people's yards. He ended up on my shoulders & I pulled Beau by himself in the wagon. Joe came back around 6pm-ish. Soon after we went to Mom & Dad's.

Not much happened there. Mom had tea in the fridge so I decided to make popcorn in her Stir Crazy. I'm jealous of her as her popper works great! Mine makes popcorn, but hers is so quiet and works awesome!! We hung out there until about 10pm-ish when Mom, Dad, Judi, & Jack got back from Warrensburg. We stayed around for about 10 minutes or so and then left. Nate was so tired that he passed out within about a minute of being on the road. We're home now and Nate is in his pj's & in bed. I'm conked out but I knew you probably wanted a full blog, unless like last night.

Yesterday I did a lot of sewing, broke a lot of needles, only finished 1 sewing project out of the 3 that I started, and then worked from 2pm - 6pm. Close to 7pm we got Ava and went to Breadeaux's for Cheeseburger pizza! Cindy came and ate with us while Little Mike saw Star Wars and Mike and Pat were in Texas getting a trash truck. After pizza we went to the park by the river and played for awhile. We saw Lexus, Charlene's daughter, while there and she played great with Nate & Ava, mainly Ava. We came home, Nate was passed out, put him in bed and then finished watching Narnia: Prince Caspian.

I'm thankful for Little Brothers who graduate and also give me an extra phone case & stylus!

Holy cow -- so busy!

We got up at about 9ish. Joe & Nate went downstairs while I got to shower by myself. We finally got Joe's unemployment money for the past 4 weeks, I think. It's nice to not be holding on to the last thread. We had a quick lunch at El Vaquero and then back home. We were going to do some grocery shopping but I had to get back home to try and finish Lori's potholders. I worked on one pocket and I kept breaking needles. I've broke 5 size 16 needles in 2 days.

I fell asleep while blogging. I'm super tired so that's all you get. Night.

Beautiful day.

We had our Parents as Teachers visit today. I finished Plum Spooky about 20 minutes before!! That's what you call cutting it close! After our visit we played on the front porch for awhile and then I was able to take a shower. Joe made us peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, got a water bottle of lemonade, & then we went for a 45 minute walk. When we got home, we chilled on the front porch for over an hour. The weather was perfect!!!

Joe did some dishes while I worked on potholders for Lori, Vince's girlfriend. I broke 2 needles while working on them. That's a pain in the tush. The previous owners also were at the house again getting more stuff out. I really hope they're almost done. It's taken them so long.

Work was really slow but I did find some good jokes for the Booster Committee. Once I got home from work I straightened the kitchen a little, started a load of laundry, then made microwave popcorn. It is no where near as good as what my Stir Crazy makes!! We started watching Narnia: Prince Caspian. I was getting super tired so we stopped it at chapter 12. The first 2 paragraphs were written before the movie and this one is now being written while I'm laying in bed after watching 11 chapters of the movie.

I'm thankful for the awesome weather that we had today!!!

Super quick.

This has to be super quick as I have about 7 chapters left to read in my book by 10am. Then the book goes back to its owner.

Speech Therapy was at 11:30am today. Joe stayed at the house as my dad came up to work in the rental backyard. Nate played an awful lot and is saying the first sound of a few more words. Nate & I had lunch with Bob at the hospital, we stopped at Goodwill to get Beau, then came home. We were home about 10 minutes and then I took Beau & Nate on a walk to the dentist down the street to get Logan & a tenderloin for Joe. We walked (the boys ran most of the way, I only ran a little bit while pushing Nate in the stroller) home and then played in the backyard while Logan and Nate had fudge pops. A little bit later we had S'Mores with strawberry marshmallows! They were very good. (Dad had a fire going again today to burn scrap wood.)

Frank picked up Logan to take him to the doctor and Beau stayed with us and we played on the front porch some more. Joe did a bunch (I hope) of homework and helped Dad in the yard a lot. Laura picked up Beau after her root canal and then it was just me & Nate left by ourselves to play!! I got a little bit cleaned up in the basement before therapy this morning but not much. There's still a lot to do but we're getting there.

Work was super slow most of the night and pretty boring. I had some chips & salsa that was leftover from Cinco de Mayo. There were pretty good. I also had a headache most of the night. Nothing else too exciting. After work I called my cousin Jeremiah and I got to listen to Jason Mraz in concert for a few minutes!! It was pretty cool but I didn't know the song that I listened to. Still totally cool tho. I just wish I knew how to record conversations on my new phone. Note to self: figure that out!!!

There were no pictures taken today. I know they're fun to look at, I'm sorry. Oh, and the previous owners were at the house a couple times today taking a bunch of stuff out. They are also leaving the cabinet that I really like. I'll take pictures of it once I can get to it.

I'm thankful for my Dad who comes and helps us so much on the rental house. Without him, this project would be non-existent for us. Thanks Dad, I love you so much!!!!

Cinco de Mayo.

Did you have nachos today?? I did!!

Waking up to a jackhammer is not a fun way to be woken up. Of course it was at about 8am but you know me, I hate getting up before 9am. Now that I was awake, Nate & I watched some PBS for about an hour and then headed downstairs. Half way down the steps, the doorbell rings. Nate freaks out from excitement and tries to run down the steps. He's a little too young to be doing that!! It was the jackhammer guy asking if I could back my car up a little. The city is fixing the water pipe or something to the rental house. Once back inside I made breakfast. Over-easy eggs, biscuits & gravy from a couple days ago (it froze/thawed out fine), and milk. Joe slept until breakfast was ready.

The previous owners had the utilities shut up yesterday (5-4-09) so we're going to go to the Board of Public Works and have the electricity turned on in our name. And since they had it turned off, we went over and finally were able to get the windows all open to start airing it out. Then we got to go outside and rake the yard. Well we got to rake the dirt where the yard will eventually be. I raked with no gloves and now I have calluses and blisters. Oh well. Dad came down with a firepit and burned some wood. I grilled some hotdogs on it. Joe & Dad worked in the yard while Nate took a nap and I read. Mom was on her way to our house when I went to work.

At work I was on nacho duty most of the night. Now that I'm on the Booster Committee I get to do all that fun stuff. (It gets me off the phones so that's cool!) I made some guacamole and took it in. Everyone that tried it, loved it!

I'm thankful for Cindy because she watches Nathan once or twice a week.

Weekend events.

I know I haven't blogged for a few days and there's been so much that has happened. I'm gonna give you a quick synopsis of what has happened. If I told you everything, this blog would go on for days.

I'm not sure what all we did on Friday but at night Joe went to a meeting at church and I stayed home with Nate. He still wasn't feeling the best and I didn't want to leave him with anyone. (We also didn't have anyone to watch him.) The meeting lasted much longer that we planned. Once he got home, we headed to Monroe to spend the night. We got there close to 10pm. Nate fell asleep on the way there and stayed asleep once we arrived. Me, Mom, & Joe stayed up and had chips, salsa, & guacamole! Next morning was City Wide Sales in MC. Mom & I went to a couple. I got a serger for $10. No clue what it is or does but I'm super excited to figure it out! I also got some fabric & scraps for a few dollars. Made a super quick trip back to Hannibal to get medicine and a mower. Then made a trip to the Debonair's yardsale and the KC hall. There I got a movie for $1 (Without a Paddle -- super funny) and 2 old style sewing tables with the machines inside for $5 total!!!

We went to Columbia to see Natalie's play "Goldilocks." It was really good but very hard to hear. It was also Luke's 15th birthday party and Andrew was home for the week. I gave them all their towel and they loved them! We had a really good party. After we left there we stopped at my nephew's apartment. His roommates 2 oldest kids (ages 5 & 7) asked if I was going to make them each a towel. They're now on my list. We spent the night at mom and dad's again and went to church with them. My cousin's son received his 1st Communion. I got a card for him but I got a confirmation card instead. Oh well. After church we went to Mike & Cindy's house for another party. Mike & Pat received their 1st Communion on Easter Sunday. It was also for Ava's 4th birthday. I gave Bre her towel and she loved it! We were there for quite some time. Nate had fun playing and Joe & I jumped on the trampoline with Nate. Joe also played some basketball with the boys. I have never known him to play!!

And now for today. Nate & I started cleaning the basement room. This will be my new sewing room & I'm totally psyched!! We had Speech Therapy at 1pm and then went to the park for a picnic lunch and to play ball with Nate. Nate did NOT have fun. He screamed most of the time so we left after about 10 minutes. Well he did have fun for a few minutes but that was it. We came home. Nate & I played in the backyard for awhile and Joe came inside. We got popsicles and ate them on the porch. I was so tired and I tried to sleep on the porch swing but I didn't as I had Nate with me & Joe went to the store. He got a 1st Communion card for my cousin's son. At least one of us can read. Work was ok but I was pretty bummed. I've been slowly gaining some weight back. Not much but I can feel it. Today on break I walked 2 laps around the parking lot. I did this last summer on my breaks and I'm going to start doing it again. I also need to start going to the YMCA since we have a membership now.

I started to read last night but I was so pooped that I feel asleep before I even got the book open. I hope I can get more read. I've had the book for a couple months and must get it done by Thursday. The owner will be coming over and I'm not gonna keep it any longer. Oh, and Friday I dropped my Stir Crazy popcorn popper lid and broke it. I was so sad. I'm still sad but I found one in the rental house. It's so dirty but I'll get it cleaned up.

I'm thankful for my family. No matter hard life is, they are always there to help out in times of need. This isn't directed to anyone in particular or any specific occasion, but I know you are all there when/if we need you. I love you all dearly!!!

Feeling blah.

Today was a busy day with sewing/towels. We got up and didn't shower. We all went down for breakfast and then I started making some letters. Joe was doing homework, I think, I hope. Nate was helping me. We hemmed up a pair of his sweats that are super long and then hemmed the ends of a towel as it had come unsewn. I worked on letters and more letters. I finished Andy & Natalie's letters. I took stuff for Luke's name to work. Work was super slow. The first hour I couldn't get onto the system as Bluezone (work program) was down. I was glad it was slow because I had plenty of time to get all the letters cut out.

Nate is feeling much better. Joe said he had a couple of small spit-ups earlier in the morning but that's all. He ate crackers & toast with apple sauce and drank PediaLite most of the day. Nate had a pb&j on rollup just before I left for work. For dinner he had 1 1/2 corndogs. When I got home from work I went straight to the sewing machine. I finished Andy & Natalie's towels. I don't like the towel that I have Luke so I'm gonna take it back tomorrow & get a better one.

That's pretty much all we did today. Oh, we were suppoesed to have Parents as Teachers come over at 10am but since Nate had been sick, we rescheduled for next week.

I'm thankful that I have plenty of nieces & nephews which will keep my busy.

Puke & fever.

So today was a pretty crazy day. But it didn't start out that way. We got up at a decent time, around 8:30 or 9am. After everyone had showers & was dressed, we chilled for a little while until we went to Speech Therapy. We left the house around noon to get Joe's hair cut before therapy. As we're driving there, Nate started coughing a little so we stopped at Hardee's to get him a drink. A small pop was $1.69 with tax!! That's CRAZY!! I pulled up a bit in the drive thru and then reversed and told them I wanted to cancel the drink. We then went to get Joe's haircut. On the way there I realized that we didn't have any cash for a tip. I decided that the haircut would wait until after therapy.

We turned around, stopped at the bank for some cash, stopped at McDonald's to get a $1 small soda (turns out the large are also $1, oh well -- Nate still loved it!) and then headed to the hospital. We got there about 1/2 hour early but went on inside. One the way in, Nate threw up just a little bit on the sidewalk. I probably should have told someone about the mess but didn't think about it. We went towards the cafeteria. Low and behold who do we see... Uncle Bob! He was eating lunch so we sat with him. FYI--credit cards are not accepted at the hospital cafeteria. Bob said to get what we wanted for Nate & that he'd get the tab. I got Nate a banana & some goldfish crackers. We sat with him for about 10 minutes or so but Nate didn't want to eat anything.

Nate was fussing a lot and not wanting to sit still so off to therapy we went. After checking in, we waited in the lobby. Therapy was fine but Nate didn't want to say ANYTHING! He was very persistent in that! We go back again next Monday @ 1pm. I was hungry after therapy so we stopped at the cafeteria again. I got 2 burgers & 2 sides of mashed potatoes, and since they don't take credit cards, I charged it to Bob's bill. He said it was fine and to do it whenever I wanted. I won't do that, but it's nice to know that if I needed to, then I could. We ate in the car and then headed back to get Joe's hair cut.

We had a $10 gift certificate to A Cut Above. It's by the licensing office & in the same area as the old theatre. Missie Haynes did a really good job. They do pedicures & manicures so you may find me out there sometime!! Bob called to tell me that Mom was at the hospital with my Aunt Ruthie. I called Mom & told her we'd swing by to visit with Aunt Ruthie but first we had to stop at WalGreen's for some tylenol for Nate. We get to the hospital, get a great parking spot, & head up to the 3rd floor. By this time Nate was still fussy and had a small fever. We got to the 3rd floor & found Mom. Joe was holding Nate & before Joe knew it, Nate threw up all over him! His shirt was covered as well as the chair they were sitting in. I got as much cleaned up as possible.

Ah... down to the ER we go. We got him all checked it at close to 3pm. He was very quiet and didn't move around. He had to get his temperature taken in a very unpleasant location. He weighs 30.6 pounds. The doctor finally came in after forever and said that Nate had an ear infection and that's why he was puking & had a fever. One of the males nurses/doctors gave Nate a grape popsicle and Nate loved it!! When he was almost done with it 2 other nurses came in and each gave him shots in his upper/outer thighs. He screamed for a while and then just cried a whole lot and very loud! One of the nurses called in prescription to Wal-Mart for us. He finally stopped crying and fell asleep at about 4:45pm. We finally left the ER at 5pm. I had to be at work at 5 so I called in and said I'd be late.

We got his medicine and then headed home. Nathan was awake but not very active. I got to work at about 5:50pm. It was pretty boring most of the night there. It was raining a lot after work. Silly me, I forgot to wear a coat so I got soaked. I stopped at Wal-Mart after work to get a few things. Joe had to help me with the groceries. I ended up making popcorn topping it with Molly McButter and we watched Changeling with Angelina Jolie. It was a pretty good movie. I'm now writing this and wanting to fall asleep.

No pictes as something is meessed up.

I'm thankful for brothers that help out their sister.

Tuesday.

Not much happened today. The middle of the night was a different story. When I got home, Nate was already asleep. We went to bed around midnight. At about 1:30am Nathan was us screaming so Joe put him in our bed. I tried to get him to go to sleep but nothing worked. Nate climbed over me so that I was in the middle of the bed and he was on my side of the bed. He then proceeded to scoop down towards the foot of the bottom in between the sheets. Next thing I hear is him puking all over the in between the sheets. Of course I get a little on me too. It was so gross.

Aerial view of rental backyard

We finally get him cleaned up but of course he doesn't want to go to bed. He gets off the bed, finds the can of Pringles, and climbs back in our bed in between me & Joe and starts eating them. I think he had a few in him before I realized what he was doing. I got them taken away but he was already wide awake. Joe took him downstairs to try to get him tired so he would go to sleep. I threw pj's down for him so he would at least be warm. Nothing worked. He brought Nate back upstairs and when I tried to hold him he only screamed. He didn't want anything to do with me. Joe wanted me to take Nate so that Joe could try to get some sleep. He got really mad at me as I was still half alseep and took a few extra seconds to comprehend what he was saying.

Gina the Goat

By this time it's probably clost to 5am. He yelled a little (really it was a lot but I'm trying to be nice) and went back down with Nate and slammed the door. I went down to try and calm Nate. As I should have known, he still didn't want me. I finally got him to take some liquid Tylenol. We put a movie in for him while Joe was going to rock him. As soon as the movie started, Nate passed out. WHEW!! We brought him back upstairs and layed him in his bed. He was finally out for good. We went out too.

(Nate took this picture)

Just before 10am Nate woke up but this time he was happy. We didn't get much done today as we were super tired from being up most of the night. We went to Wal-Mart to get my prescription refilled and then drove by A Cut Above to make sure they'll be open on Wednesday. We're getting Joe's hair cut tomorrow (now today on Wednesday.) I went to work at 2pm. I covered 3 hours for my friend Ashley. Just as I was leaving, Joe & Nate left for Monroe. He dropped Nate off at Mom & Dad's and then he went to do his side job working on a farm.

(Nate took this picture)

I took Charlene home after work and Ford had a couple big burritos ready for me to take home. We popped in a movie, Taken, and had our burritos. Both were really good. Here I am blogging, Joe is downstairs on his computer until I give him the ok to come up for bed, & Nate is in bed. He's been out since about 8pm-ish so we really hope he sleeps until at least 8am-ish. We'll see.

I'm thankful that I was able to pick up some extra hours today.

What a weekend!

I haven't been on here for a few days so I'm not really in the mood to blog right now. I know I need to tho. The internet on this computer is also going super slow. We'll see how much I get blogged.

I had such a busy & awesome weekend. I went on a Cursillo (kur-see-yo) at Quincy University. I didn't sleep much and I ate WAY TOO MUCH!!! But I did learn a lot that I hope will help my marriage, family, and spiritual life grow. I met a lot of new women and I hope to be friends with them for quite a while. The weekend wasn't anything that I had planned. I didn't want to go on the weekend but Joe really wanted me to go. I'm glad I went.

Joe was super busy this weekend as well. Joe, Dad, & Mike worked very hard to get the rental backyard cleared out. Mike ran the Bobcat. They had 6 dump truck loads, 3 or 4 truck loads, & 3 or 4 trailer loads were taken to the free city clean-up!! It looks so much better over there!! Nathan had a few babysitters while I was gone. Mom watched him Friday, Jack watched him Saturday, & Dad watched him on Sunday.

Nathan started his Speech Therapy today at the hospital. Today was more of a "get to know you" session. He played with some toys and was able to get comfortable with the therapist. We go back on Wednesday at 1pm. We will be going every Mon/Wed at 1pm for 30 minutes each session. I'll keep you posted. Joe also has a side job that he will be doing in Monroe for a guy that he worked with. He'll be doing some farm work and bringing in extra money. It will definitely be needed! I will also be changing my work schedule around so I can work more hours. I'm not really looking forward to that but I know it needs to be done. Joe also said we'll try getting pregnant once I start working more hours.

I'm so pooped. I'm working a really long shift tomorrow. It will be for 8 hours. It's not long for most but it is for me. I guess I should get used to it.

I'm thankful for everyone in my life that I love so dearly!! I have the best family & friends!

End of work week.

Joe was mad at me this morning because I wouldn't let him sleep in. Oh well... I got up & it was so beautiful outside -- perfect weather! Nate & I had cereal and then I made some Amish Friendship Bread. (I'm never gonna run out of this stuff. Ugh.) Of course I messed up with it again and forgot to add the cinnamon sugar to the top while baking. It was still pretty good tho.

I really wanted to go to the park and play ball with Nate. We were getting ready to go while Joe was doing homework. He ended up taking a little longer than expected so I made the last batch of Bread. This time I think I got it all right. I made 10 little tiny loaves and 2 a little bigger loaves. I froze 9 tiny loaves and 1 larger one. We'll have enough bread for awhile!!

We ended up going for a about a mile walk or so down Chestnut & Hope Streets. It was really nice and Nate loved it! When we got back we chilled on the porch for a little bit. Nate tried to help sweep the porch but Joe shared his pop with Nate. I was finally able to sweep the porch without help! Nate took over the soda and thought it was funny when he "let" us take a drink, but then took it back as soon as we tried getting our drink! Little turkey!!!

I took a few shirts and a pair of crocs to Ian at work. One shirt was red, tie-dye with trombones. When I first saw it, I thought he would like it. He did! Work was super slow most of the night. It was so super boring but it was fun to talk to everyone. We had a really good night. Since it was so super slow, they made 4 10pm people leave early. I said I did't wanna go. Well there were only 4 10pm people so I had to clock out early. Only 10 minutes early but it's cool. I had to hang out til 10pm cause I gave Charlene a ride home.

Once I got home I started the Stir Crazy popcorn popper. We watched Juno. It was really good and makes me want to have another baby. This is joe since Donna keeps faling asleep. Also since Donna is sleeping there will be no pictures tonight.

(I'm back to say what I'm thankful for.)
I'm thankful for my husband who is just amazing!!

Decision day.

Mom & Dad came up this morning with wheelbarrows. We were going to scoop all the shingles into the wheelbarrows, dump them into the Bobcat scooper thing, and then dump them from the Bobcat to the dump truck. By the time Mom & Dad got here, the roofers were already doing it so we didn't have to!! I ended up making the Amish Friendship Bread (it tasted a bit funny cause I forgot to add the pudding -- I'll try again tomorrow with another batch.) and Joe went out to help Dad in the rental yard for a little bit.

I didn't get any sewing done today but I'm ok with that. I did, however, have my yearly Papsmear & IUD check today. Joe & I have been talking about getting the IUD removed (well I talk & he ignores) and we (mainly I) decided to have it removed. It doesn't mean we're trying to get pregnant, but we will probably start trying soon. We've got other means of protection for the time being. Now that it's out, I look at Nathan differently. I see him as a big brother. Of course he's not yet but he could be soon. It's weird & exciting! My doctor even said it's time since we want 3 or 4 kids. We may rethink that number once we have another one!!

More roofing going on today. Joe said they're done though. I assume they are since they've been paid. I told him he needs to get into roofing. $1000.00 for 4 days of work!! He did have 3 others helping that will get paid but man that's good money!! It looks really good!! I'll try to get some completed pictures tomorrow & post them.

I'm thankful that we can start trying for a baby sometime.

Sick day.

Today was just a regular ol' day. After we showered & got dressed, we went down to have breakfast. (I'm trying to remember what we did today but this computer makes some unhealthy noises so I'm having a hard time thinking....) I worked in the sewing room for awhile and found some more cool fabric in the basement. Joe & Nate played with his new (from Luke) dumptrucks in the backyard. While they played, I added some inches to the bottom of a shirt as well as some trim to the sleeves. I feel kinda weird wearing it but at least I did a good job on it. Everyone at work liked it so that's pretty cool.

We still have the roofers here & today they started on the roof in the front. There are old shingles EVERYWHERE!!! That's aiight tho cause we're getting a new roof!! Today was day 11 for the Amish Friendship Bread. I was supposed to make it on day 10. I'll be making it on day 12. I'm sure it'll still be good. Joe said Nate went to sleep at about 9:30pm and that he went down very easy. After work we popped in a movie. We watched "Get Smart" with The Rock. It was pretty good and very funny. I recommend watching it. Nate just started crying in bed a little and I pray e doesnt wake up.

Tomorrow, I have my yearly visit for my IUD. I really hope Joe & I decide to have it removed but we'll see. I'm sure we did other stuff but I can't remember anything. I had a pretty bad cough & sore throat at work tonight. I had to get couch drops from the boss. I coughed so much and didn't think I'd ever get the snot from my nose. (No pictures today as I can't get them to upload. I'm also getting so I'll post them tomorrow. Good night!!

I'm thankful for tissues with aloe that I have at home.

I'm cold.

We got up in plenty of time to make it to church on time (it's a rarity.) I showed Nathan's towel that I made to a guy there and I think he may want to get some made for his 3 girls. I'm used to making things for nothing & I would feel uncomfortable quoting him a price. After church it was pouring down rain so we went to Wal-Mart to get some supplies. Back home for lunch & then we went to Quincy for more supplies. (I like the term "supplies." I think it sounds cool!) We went to Joanne Fabrics, KMart, Shopko, Wal-Mart, & Deter's (for frozen yogurt.) I got 4 colors of thread, 9 towels, mint chocolate chip sundae with hot fudge, and other stuff that isn't too much fun.

We came home & chilled. It was nice to just relax. I cleaned up the sewing room (dining room) a bit while Nate played in there. Joe finished him homework & during breaks he played with Nate. I also went down Nate's slide a few times. No pictures tho! I started mending stuff that needed it. Then I started working on letters for Natalie, Bre & Ava. I just finished cutting all the letters (plus 2 layers for backing.) All the letters are pinned together and in a ziploc bag waiting to be hemmed. Then they will be sewn to the towel. I will be busy, busy, busy!

Joe finished his homework, I finished the letters, now we're upstairs & my toes are freezing. I've been cold most of the evening but I won't turn the heat on. I really want Spring to get here and stay here.

I'm thankful that I found something that I really enjoy doing!!!

Being sick sucks.

At 6am, Nate woke up coughing so Joe put him in bed with us. At 6:40am he threw up a little (on Joe's side of the bed). Joe decided it was time to get up & shower. (The alarm was gonna go off at 7am). While they were in the shower I went thru some summer '09 boxes of clothes for Nate and found most of the summer clothes that he'll need. We had hoped to leave by 8am but we didn't leave until about 8:20am. The game started at 8:30 and we got there about 8:45. We were told he did much better in the 1st half but that'ok; he's only 6 1/2.

After the game, we went back to Mom & Dad's for a little bit. It took forever to leave but we finally got out of there shortly after 11. Nathan threw up a tiny bit on the way there & I fell asleep for a bit too. We got to Lisa's just before 1pm. Neither of us wanted to start packing but it's what we went to do. After lunch (pizza) I cleaned out/refolded/restacked the linen closet. Mom went yesterday and today she cleaned out the pantry. Laura was with Lisa working in the garage.

Nate, Logan, Beau, & Natalie were outside most of the time. Nate fell so they all came in. Nathan definitely needed a bath so Logan & Beau decided they needed one too. After they were clean we all did more cleaning. We wanted to leave Lisa's around 4pm-ish but didn't leave until after 6pm (I think.) We left & had to turn around because I forgot my contact/glasses case & contact solution. We got that & were finally on our way. Hed finally got tho sent ouf ot's way.

On the way back with Ate trew up again. We finally gt showers & oko they watch the eafle omething. Good night.

I'm thankful for everyone who is friends with us.

Loved the day!!

There was a loud noise that I kept hearing over & over again this morning. I wasn't sure if it was in my dream or real. I kept sleeping & then Joe put Nate in bed with us at about 7:30am-ish. At about 8am Dad called to say he was on his way to Hannibal. Then shortly after that I realized what the noise was... the guys taking the shingles off the back half of our roof!! New roof day!! Mom & Dad picked up Joe to go buy the shingles. We paid for them but it was a hefty chuck of change; $1,005.48. But at least they're paid for and we don't owe Mom & Dad back for them! They did loan us the money for the labor but once we get the check back from the hail damage, they will get the majority of it.

When they got back we had breakfast and then Mom & Dad headed home so Mom could go to Columbia. Nate & I went out back & watched them work on the roof for a bit. After I showered & Joe bathed Nate, I decided that I was gonna go to Quincy. I invited my friend Ashley to go with us. It was a girl's day out with Nate!! We had a lot of fun. We went to Joanne Fabrics (I got thread & now Ashley wants a sewing machine), the resale baby store (I got the CUTEST roller skates/blades for Nate that fit over his shoes & extend for when he's older), Bed Bath & Beyond (didn't get any towels as they cost too much)& Sam's. I think that's all the places we went to. Nate ran around Sam's as much as he could. We even got 3 pizzas for $3 each!!! Someone ordered & never picked them up. They were gonna throw them out so I got 'em! I took Ashley home. Grandpa was at our house when Nate & I got home.

Joe said he wanted to go on a walk so we wen tto Mark Twain Elementary school & played on the Big Toy playground. Joe & I had more fun that Nate as we started swinging. Not only did we swing but we jumped off the swings like we were kids! I jumped about 5 times. We were trying to get pictures of mid-air jumps & Joe never could get my mid-air shot. I think he just wanted me to keep jumping! We were at the park for prolly 45 minutes or so and then we walked back home. Dad was still there when we got home so him & I took a tour of the rental house while Joe & Nate came back inside to play some more. Dad left shortly after our tour and I came inside to be with my guys.

We cleaned the house, had dinner, did laundry, packed for the weekend (Nate & I are going to Lisa's house with Laura, Logan, & Beau), played with Nate, & then Joe rocked him to sleep. We were thinking of watching a movie but didn't. Too much other stuff to do. I prolly won't blog tomorrow as I'll be in Hartsburg.

I'm thankful for friends to spend the afternoon with & just hang out and do girl stuff!
