Super busy day... hence why I'm blogging so very late in the wee hours of the night. We went to Monroe this afternoon. I dropped Joe & Nate off at mom & dad's and mom & I went shopping!! First we went to Sheltered Workshop thrift store and I got a bag full of fabric pieces, lots of buttons, and a zipper. It all cost about 12 or 13$!! Then we went to Ben Franklin and I got more fabric! I got 4 different patterns but I'm not sure what I'm going to make with it. It cost about 25$ there. After that me, mom, & Nate went to visit Aunt Ruthie. We visited for a bit and then we grocery shopping. Once we got home we made dinner and then went to church for Stations of the Cross. Nathan had way too much fun! He was running all over (but he was quiet about it). Towards the end of the service he started crying so we went to the cry room. He was still not the best, but at least he wasn't out for everyone to hear. We got back to mom & dad's and started getting ready to go. When we finally got home, Nathan was passed out. We got all our groceries inside and Nate to sleep & I went to Wal-Mart. It was nice to go by myself. When I got home from there I put stuff up and organized both pantries. NOT FUN!!! Off to bed now.
I'm thankful for my Aunt Ruthie.

Our new beach towel blanket!

So today was just a regular ol' day. I baked up some oatmeal cookies and put 4 chocolate chips on top of each one. I took a trip to the Swiss Colony store and got a few things for my aunt and a couple of futon mattresses. I went to a friend's house to take her to ah appt, and when I roll in her driveway, my car starts overheating!! FUN!! Of course I have no idea what to do so her son goes down to inspect the car. Everything looks fine but it still overheated a little. I'm gonna try to have dad look at it tomorrow.
I was searching for fabric so I could sew something, just anything. I couldn't find anything, but I did find a few old, hotel size towels that we never use. Can you guess what I ended up sewing??? Yup, I sewed them together and made a big beach blanket. It's actually pretty cool.
While I was working, we got a whole LOT of rain. I texted Joe telling him to check the closet (our roofs leaks a little) and he did. However, it also leaks over our bed and he didn't think to put a bucket on the bed! Our bed had a huge spot of water at the foot of the bed about 2 feet diameter!!! Everything is good now so at least we get to sleep on a dry bed tonight! I really want a new roof!!!

Ash Wednesday

Today was such a nice day. A little chilly, but hey, it's February. We started out with pancakes & sausages. Nathan loved it!!! Then Nathan & I sat on the front porch for awhile. He helped me wash the rail & his toys and sweep the floor. We brought a big basket outside to keep his toys in. It's pretty big so we'll either have to bring more toys outside or find a smaller basket. Not much else but work. I shouldn't play Scrabble so much on Facebook!
This picture is old but it's still super cute!! I became a Knight!!!!
I'm thankful we have a great porch for my son to play on.

Not too exciting.
Today wasn't all that exciting. We didn't sleep in much because our Parents As Teachers lady came over for our in-house visit. She had some puzzles for him to work. He knew where a few of the pieces went, but then he just wanted to play and not try to work them. She left a couple puzzles and a book for him. We're going to work with him more so he will learn it. He's still not talking much. He's saying parts of words and just a few words that you can really understand. "byebye", "nighnight" (night night), "mama". I called about getting him started with First Steps of MO. I should be receiving a call from someone by the end of this week.
I worked from 5pm - 9pm. It was a good day at work. The big boss peoples made sausage and pancakes for everyone. I even brought some home. I told Nate we would have them in the morning and he got excited!
Right before coming to bed Nate threw up a whole bunch. Once it was cleaned up, we got him clean pj's on and came to bed. And now I've been playing Scrabble and talking to friends on Facebook for 2 hours!!!
I'm thankful for Joe for cleaning up Nate's mess & doing the dishes.

Busy, busy, busy!
Today was a pretty busy day for me. We lounged in bed for a bit, took showers, and then went down for breakfast (who says you can't have breakfast at noon?!) After that I started getting busy! I stripped the bed and Joe started laundry for me. I made a double batch of banana bread/muffins with no nuts, lunch (mac n cheese, hot dogs, & peas), and oatmeal cookies. While things were baking, I finished all the laundry and made both beds. Before I could finish our bed, I had to hem up a blanket for our bed. I had Joe help with that so I could switch batches of cookies. Then off to work from 5-9. I took some muffins, cookies, & the newest bed sheet that I for Nate. Everyone loved everything! Joe has been doing most of the dishes lately! I made a deal with him earlier... If he washed all the dishes needed for making cookies, that I would make him the cookies! And he did, so I did. After work he made a deal with me... If I put Nate to bed, he'd do more dishes!! SCORE!!! I hate doing dishes! I put Nate to bed so I hope he's working on some dishes. I also found my old roommate from about 10 years ago on Facebook!!
I'm thankful that my husband does dishes even tho he hate it too!

Sewing & Baking!
I'll be baking more banana bread/muffins today and I'm looking online for some fabric to make some more sheets for Nate! I've already got fleece and flannel, so this time I'm going to look for cotton so he'll stay cool in the summer!
My weekend.

My weekend was pretty busy for me. Friday, I went to Hartsburg with Laura and our boys so we could could go through Lisa's old clothes. I got 3 pair of jeans and 3 pair of shorts. I also got 9 bananas as well. Saturday we went to Chuck E. Cheese's & Toys 'R Us and the boys loved it!! I tried to get a picture of Nathan with Chuck, but he didn't want anything to do with Chuck! Sunday after church I made 3 loaves of banana bread and 78 mini banana nut muffins!! I still have 26 bananas left! I'm making more today to send out to family in other states.
**edit** I made 72 muffins..I can't count.
My first ever blog!
